WCC present vision on PES digitalization at WAPES conference

Utrecht – NL, December 3, 2019. WCC CEO Jan Jensen gave a presentation about “Digitalization for Improvement of PES” at the WAPES conference  held in Cambodia on 5–8 November 2019. During the presentation, Mr. Jensen first outlined how Public Employment Services (PES) have different objectives from private job boards and commercial employment companies. And how they have a different mandate too. He therefore made the case for PES-specific software solutions that take these differences into account.

Unlike commercial employment organizations for instance, PES are required to implement Active Labor Market Policies (ALMPs). in addition, they must be transparent if jobseekers ask about the job matching process.

At the Wapes conference, Mr. Jensen also gave an overview of the elements that make up the job finding process. Where the aim is of course to find a sustainable job for people.  He went on to explain how WCC’s advanced software solutions can support and improve this process.
