The Malaysian PES, Perkeso, aims to provide world-class services to jobseekers and potential employers.

To achieve this, Perkeso faces a series of challenges. Its “Return-to-Work” program requires an effective job search and match platform. And in common with many countries, Malaysia has seen a widening gap between demand and labor supply, characterized by long-term unemployment, low education, and poor skills. Youth unemployment is exceptionally high, worsened during 2020 by the Covid-19 pandemic. Perkeso, therefore, needs powerful job brokerage capability, the means to highlight/address skills gaps, and reliable labor market data to formulate Active Labor Market Policies to support the economy.

WCC Perkeso use caseWCC’s customizable Employment Platform Portals offered the solution. Launched in June 2020, we delivered the MYFutureJobs portal to meet Perkeso’s specific needs. Already highly successful, more than 600,000 jobseekers have registered since it was first introduced in January 2020, together with some 197,000 active employers.

• WCC competence-based matching strategies, refined monthly, were used to significantly improve the quality.
• As a result, customer satisfaction grew markedly. In fact, partners now give priority to jobseekers offered by VDAB.
