Employment Platform Portals
Match, Apply, Monitor
WCC Employment Platform Portals (EP Portals) are off-the-shelf job search portals/front-end portals. They are standalone solutions and need little or no customization. Therefore they can be deployed quickly while also offering a unique and flexible set of services. For this reason, Employment Platform Portals are especially suitable for use by mid-sized Public Employment Services (PES) and Staffing Agencies. However, even smaller organizations will benefit from the range of services the Employment Platform Portals offer.
We’ve designed the Employment Platform Portals to search and match jobs efficiently and effectively.
Perkeso
The Malaysian PES, Perkeso, provides world-class services to jobseekers and potential employers. They faced a series of challenges, as Malaysia has seen a widening gap between demand and labor supply, characterized by long-term unemployment, low education, and poor skills. Youth unemployment is exceptionally high, worsened by the Covid-19 pandemic.
CINDE
CINDE, the Investment Promotion Agency of Costa Rica, has sought to encourage foreign direct investment (FDI) in a variety of strategic sectors. The agency has faced several challenges, including the emergence of the fourth industrial revolution, the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic, and a growing skills gap in its local labor market.

Benefits of WCC’s Employment Platform Portals
WCC Employment Platform Portals (EP Portals) are standard solutions that can be rapidly deployed. Nonetheless, they provide all the core services needed by PES and Staffing Agencies. With this in mind, we designed our job portals for use by all user groups, including jobseekers, employers, caseworkers, and recruitment consultants. Most importantly, the EP Portals are unique portals where users can register, search & match, and plan their actions. And they can then monitor their action plans too. All made possible thanks to self-service jobseeker and employer portals. Or with support from PES and recruitment consultants via the caseworker portal. Collectively they make job matching efficient and effective.
Just as important, EP Portals can help implement Active Labor Market Policies (ALMPs), targeting specific groups, and helping to resolve labor market challenges. For example, local, sector, or demographic-based issues. PES can also target incentive programs to specific groups of jobseekers and employers. Not only targeting occupations and jobs but skills training and other types of support too. Finally, PES can consider national or local needs by using our advanced analysis and reporting options.
What’s more, the WCC EP Portals cater to the specific needs of jobseekers and employers. Therefore designed to help quickly match a jobseeker’s interests and competencies to suitable jobs. To make this as easy as possible, jobseekers can use a self-service portal. However, they can also access the support of a PES caseworker. For instance, a caseworker can broaden a job search for “similar” jobs. Or widen the search to include “nearby jobs” giving the jobseeker more options.
One of the most important features for jobseekers is the dashboard. In the first place, this gives jobseekers shortcuts to view and edit their profile. They can search and match with vacancies here too, gaining insights into suitable matches. Equally important, they can view their past actions, allowing jobseekers to enhance their profile based on search and match results. This, in turn, delivers better matches.
EP Analytics
While users work in the portals, analytics run in the background, capturing customer and user data. As a result, PES and Staffing Agencies can gain critical information, such as insights into jobseeker interests, demographics, skills, and competencies. They can compare this information with the needs of employers, making it easier and more efficient to make matches.
EP Profiling and EP Enrollment modules
In addition to the EP Match module used in WCC’s Employment Platform, our EP Portals also contain two other modules. Namely, the EP Profiling module and the EP Enrollment module, both of which empower PES operations.
Firstly, the EP Profiling module helps PES or Staffing Agencies to define different categories of jobseekers. For example, they can classify jobseekers into segments based on their recent employment history. And also identify long and short-term unemployed jobseekers. Segmentation is beneficial for implementing targeted Active Labor Market Policies (ALMPs), displaying specific job matches that will accelerate the jobseeker’s chances of employment.
Furthermore, our EP Enrollment module helps improve the quality of user data, such as jobseeker and employer-generated data. The module interprets free text content, using the EP Taxonomy Manager. For example, in response to job titles or occupation descriptions entered by the user, the module returns smart suggestions for the most appropriate values. In turn, this dynamic assistance helps to standardize and match user-generated content.

EP Gap Analysis and EP Referral modules
Jobseekers often wish to improve their skills in order to grow their job chances. To assist them, the EP Portals therefore integrate the EP Gap Analysis and EP Referral modules used in WCC’s Employment Platform. Jobseekers can use both modules in a self-service way. Or they can seek the help of a PES caseworker. Whichever route they choose, jobseekers can identify any skills gaps. And in addition, discover how they can improve their chances in the employment market.
Our EP Gap Analysis module helps jobseekers to identify gaps in their current skills. Caseworkers can likewise help to identify competencies that may be useful in other careers. They can also look at other key factors that will affect the jobseekers’ employment opportunities. So, for example, certificates, experience, education, location, as well as salary expectations. In fact, we can identify many factors that may prevent them from obtaining their dream job. In other words, Gap Analysis can help jobseekers to create personal development plans.
Also, our EP Referral module guides jobseekers to the right support measures. Put another way, the module identifies possible educational and vocational training opportunities. In this manner, jobseekers can improve their match with the labor market. And as a result, find better long-term employment opportunities.
